ALI – CASSIUS TO MUHAMMAD

Fundraising Gala for the Indigenous Clean Water Initiative

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28th 2019

6:00 PM | ASCOTT PARC EVENT CENTRE

The Man. The Champion. The Advocate: Muhammad Ali.

Droplets of Mercy presents ALI: From Cassius to Muhammad an evening of insightful discourse on one of the greatest athletes of all time. A champion both in and out of the ring, Muhammad Ali fought for social justice and dedicated his life to serving others. Join us for a Fundraising Gala with a keynote address by Shaykh Omar Suleiman alongside The Reverend Dr. Michael Waters as they reflect on the Greatest of All Time’s journey from champion in the ring, to champion of the people.

This evening will be in support of Droplets of Mercy’s Indigenous Clean Water Initiative supporting over 100 communities in Canada that lack a basic human right: clean water. Deriving inspiration from Muhammad Ali’s social advocacy at home, we hope to fundraise for these projects that address serious humanitarian concerns in our own backyard.

This event will be held at the Ascott Parc Event Centre at 6:00 p.m., with a mingling hour and a four-course dinner and lecture to follow
